Wicked Fox was absolutely delightful. It was one of the best fluffy reads that I’ve read in a long time. If you are in the mood for a sweet and easy romance, I 100% recommend Wicked Fox. It is just so cute!
This book is about a young half gumiho, half human named Miyoung. She and her mother are always on the move and so she is eternally the new girl, the transfer student, whatever it may be. Until she meets Jihoon, a loving and accepting boy at her school who instantly takes a liking to her and reminds her what life could be like if she wasn’t always alone. He helps bring out her human side, if you will.
I just want to say, this book is the perfect fluffy read. It was fast paced, it was sweet, and it was good. A perfect palate cleanser after a more dense read, or if you’re just in the mood for something light hearted. I had so much fun reading it! I absolutely loved that there was so many Korean words tucked away in this book (don’t worry there is a glossary of course!). It just made it so much more enjoyable.
I’m not generally a fan of school romances, because they often seem way too young, but this one was definitely an exception. Kat Cho is wonderful and wrote an amazing book. It was full of twists and turns, and just the right amount of cheesy drama to make it fun but not overwhelming and tacky. Especially with the added Korean folklore woven so delightfully throughout. It was such a good balance of so many things.
Bonus: Kat Cho herself did the cutest pronunciation guide video that you should totally watch. She actually has a whole youtube channel that is also worth checking out! She is adorable, and this was so much fun to watch.
