During my time working as an Associate Editor for a YA speculative fiction magazine, I have fallen even more in love with helping stories succeed. I’ve shifted my perspective to see stories for what they are and to see what makes them shine. I’ve been doing developmental edits and manuscript evaluations for my connections for a while now and during that time I’ve learned a lot and had so much fun helping manuscripts grow, so I’ve decided to open up these services to a wider audience to help more people. It also helps us decide what your manuscript needs and how we can best work together.

I feel very strongly about the importance of representation in literature and as a Vietnamese woman, I want to do what I can to help our community. Developmental Editing
rate: $0.01 per word
Developmental editing is a thorough and in-depth review of your entire manuscript. In developmental edits, I will look at plot consistencies, characterization, style, pacing, and structure. In a developmental edit, I will be looking for the heart of your novel and suggesting changes that will elevate your story and make it truly shine. You will receive in-document suggestions, comments, praise, reactions, and concerns. You will also receive a final letter detailing strengths, concerns, and suggestions. Additionally, I will be available to you for brainstorming and a bit of cheering you on!
Manuscript Evaluation/Assessment
rate: $0.009 per word
Manuscript evaluation is much like a developmental edit, however, in-document edits are far less extensive. Think of this as a light version of a developmental edit. I will be looking still be looking at overarching plot consistencies, characterization, style, pacing, and structure, but in a more broad sense. You will receive minor in-document suggestions, comments, praise, reactions, and concerns in addition to a final editorial letter detailing strengths, concerns, and suggestions. Additionally, I will be available to you for brainstorming!
Partial Editing & Coaching

Are you in need of editing assistance but don’t necessarily need a full manuscript edit, I accept partial pieces. This could mean a first chapter critique, first five chapter critique, first 10k word critique, etc. This could also mean working with you on your outline to brainstorm and work on mapping out character and plot arcs. This service is very flexible to what your specific needs are, so feel free to reach out to discuss more.
Author Branding Kit
rate: $100-$500 depending on need – customizable!
A marketing polish is for authors who don’t have a marketing team at their disposal and are looking to prepare their books to be as marketable as possible. This includes working together to get a top-notch synopsis, author bio, author website, cover design advice, and overall author brand. You will also get coaching from me, a seasoned reviewer and part of the reviewer community, as to how to approach getting your book reviewed and featured by reviewers and influencers. Once finished, you will be poised to take on the marketing world!
I suggest this service be utilized 6 months to 1 year before the publication date.
Publicity Services – Currently Closed
rate: $250-$750 dependent on strategy – customizable campaigns!
Book marketing is unique to every book so publicity services look different for everyone. I will work with you to create a package that works best for you. This could include: ARC distribution, creating a pre-order campaign, searching for influencer collaborations, creating publicity campaign graphics, creating snappy taglines, building hashtag campaigns. All of these strategies are designed to help you have a successful book launch, reach your targeted audience, build your social media presence, and more.
I suggest this service be utilized in the 3-6 months leading up to publication date.
**Because of my experience and contacts, I’m currently offering publicity services only in young adult romance, contemporaries, science fiction, and fantasy. Particularly by authors from marginalized groups. I’m looking to expand my expertise so do not be afraid to reach out if you don’t fit within these genres, but please understand those are my specialties right now!**
